Architects
who stay.
Founded in 2013 and now in our 14th year, Wegile has delivered 300+ projects and shipped 200+ products — governed by 50 senior architects averaging 9 years with us. Not an outsourcing body shop. An architecture partner that stays.
Why global companies choose India-based senior engineers.
India-based offshore is not the same as Indian body-shop outsourcing. The difference is tenure, governance, and the profile of who builds your product.
Senior architects, not juniors
Our 50 senior architects average 9 years with Wegile. They are not the entry-level talent the outsourcing stereotype is built around — they are experienced engineers who have built in your industry, know the edge cases, and stay.
Senior talent at India-based cost structures
The same architectural rigour as a US boutique, at an India-based cost structure. The advantage isn't from junior labour — it's from a lower operating base for the same talent tier, without the overhead of in-house hiring and retention.
Timezone-aligned delivery
Our New York sales office ensures business-hours overlap for calls, reviews, and escalations with US clients. Async by default, synchronous when it matters — your architecture call happens when you need it, not 12 hours later.
AI governance without AI recklessness
India is one of the fastest-moving AI talent markets in the world — which means our architects are early adopters of the tools and early builders of the governance that keeps them safe. You get AI velocity without the hallucination risk.

Sumit Oberoi, Co-founder & Chief Architect
Sumit spent a decade inside enterprise technology before founding Wegile — selling and architecting Oracle's middleware, identity, and cloud stack across North America, then running operations, business development, and product for enterprise portals and identity-access-management platforms across North America, EMEA, and Australia. He has advised over 1,000 CXOs worldwide on selecting and implementing large, complex technology systems.
He founded Wegile in 2013 on a single conviction: clients shouldn't lose their product's context every time an engineer changes jobs. As Chief Architect he leads the practice's 50 senior architects, sets the six-gate governance standard, and still takes founder-to-founder calls himself. His focus now is AI-native delivery — the speed of AI under architect-grade control.
He holds an M.Sc in Information Technology and an MBA in International Marketing (Glasgow Caledonian University).

Anil Kumar Oberoi, Co-founder & CFO
Anil brings more than 40 years of financial and operational leadership to Wegile. Before co-founding the company he spent 25+ years as General Manager of Sales, Marketing & Purchase at Punjab Alkalies & Chemicals, a manufacturer with ₹250–300 crore in annual turnover, following senior commercial roles across Indian industry from 1980 onward.
As CFO since 2013, he owns the commercial side of every engagement: pricing, financial planning, revenue management, treasury, risk, and controls. It's why every price on this site is signed off by the CFO and doesn't move — Anil built the discipline that makes Wegile's transparent pricing possible.
He ranked first in his Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and holds an M.Sc in Mathematics (Panjab University).
In 2013, we noticed something broken about the outsourcing industry.
Companies would hire an agency, get assigned a team, and within six months half that team would be replaced. The new developers spent weeks ramping up on your systems — only to leave themselves. Architectural context was lost. Velocity dropped. Trust eroded.
So we asked a simple question: what if the architects who started your project were still there five years later? Not because they were locked in — but because they were invested. Because they cared about your architecture. Because they were treated like people, not resources.
Fourteen years on, that bet has held. Our longest relationships run nine years with the same architects. We've delivered 300+ projects and shipped 200+ products. And we've become openly AI-native — because senior architects who deeply know your systems are exactly the people who should be governing AI, not the people it replaces.
Four principles, held for 14 years.
Loyalty over transactions
We don't chase new clients at the expense of existing ones. Our longest relationships run nine years — with the same architects, continuously mastering increasingly complex systems. That's not a metric. It's a principle.
Ownership, not outsourcing
Your pod treats your architecture like their own. They celebrate your wins, lose sleep over your bugs, and care about the long-term evolution of your systems — because they'll still be here for it.
People over resources
We don't call our architects “resources.” They have names, families, career goals, and strong opinions on how to build better systems. That's why they stay — and why your context never resets.
Transparency over posturing
Month-to-month pricing, in plain sight. No lock-ins. Every price on the website. If we're not delivering, you can walk — which is exactly why clients don't.
From three architects to a governed AI-native firm.
Founded on a principle
Sumit and Anil founded Wegile together — Chief Architect and CFO from day one — on one conviction: the team that starts your product should still be there years later.
The model proved out
Grown to ~40 architects; the retention-first, senior-only bet holding. The people who joined early are still here — proof the model works as a business, not just a principle.
New York
Opened a satellite sales office in New York to sit closer to US clients. Delivery remains architect-led from India; New York handles client relationships and account management.
80+ architects.
Scaled past 80 senior architects — and 20+ of the early hires were still on the team, retention holding as the company grew.
100-strong technical team
Crossed 100 people across the practice, on the way to today's 120-person firm. The same architects who helped build the company are still here.
The pod model, finalized
The dedicated-pod structure (Dedicated / Duo / Team / Custom) formalized as the way Wegile ships — named architects, month-to-month, governed delivery.
AI-native, engineered.
Built the AI-native delivery system — the six-gate governance pipeline that lets AI generate under architect control.
AI-native, by default.
The system went live across every pod at the start of the year — not a pilot, not a beta, but the standard way Wegile ships.
Three offices. One standard.
