Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1. Who we are
Wegile [legal form, for example Private Limited], Mohali (HQ), India ("Wegile", "we") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Questions and requests: [email protected].
2. Who this policy covers
Visitors to wegile.com, people who contact us or book a call, business contacts we reach out to, and job applicants. It does not cover the data our clients' products process; that data stays in the client's own accounts and systems under the client's control, and we act on their instructions under a written agreement.
3. What we collect and why
Website visitors: device and browser information, pages viewed, approximate location, and cookie identifiers (see section 7). Purpose: to run and secure the site and to understand how it is used. Basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site, and your consent where the law requires it for cookies.
People who contact us or book a call: name, email, company, phone and what you tell us, plus the Calendly booking details. Purpose: to answer you, prepare for the call and follow up. Basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding.
Business contacts: name, job title, company, business email, business phone, professional profile and public information about your company. We obtain this from public sources such as company websites and professional networks, from you, and from licensed business data providers [list providers used]. Purpose: to contact people whose role suggests our services are relevant, in a business capacity. Basis: our legitimate interest in marketing to businesses, balanced against your interests; consent where your country requires it. We keep a record of where each contact came from and will tell you on request. Every marketing email includes a working opt-out, and we act on it within [10 business days, sooner where local law requires]. We do not send marketing to people who have objected.
Job applicants: your CV and the details you send to careers addresses. Purpose: recruitment. Basis: steps before a contract.
4. Where your data goes
Our website and supporting systems run on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Our team works from India, and some processing happens there. For data from the UK, the EU and other countries with transfer rules, we rely on [standard contractual clauses or the applicable mechanism, to be confirmed by counsel]. We share data only with service providers who process it for us under contract (hosting, analytics, email, scheduling, CRM and outreach tools [list]), with professional advisers, and where the law requires.
5. How long we keep it
Contact and enquiry records for as long as we are in contact and [24 months] after. Business contacts we have not been in touch with for [24 months] are deleted or reduced to a suppression record so we do not contact you again. Analytics data per the retention settings of each tool [state periods]. Applicant data [12 months] unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. You can object to direct marketing at any time and we will stop. Write to [email protected]. We reply within one month, or sooner where local law requires. You can also complain to your data protection authority [for the UK, the ICO; for the EU, the authority of your country; for California residents, the rights under the CPRA apply where thresholds are met].
7. Cookies and tracking
The site uses Cloudflare (security and performance), Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (usage measurement), the Meta pixel and the LinkedIn Insight tag (advertising measurement and audiences), a chat widget [name], and Calendly for bookings. Where required, non-essential cookies load only after you consent through the banner, and you can change your choice at any time [link to cookie settings]. Each provider's own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.
8. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, managed devices and audit trails, and we limit access to people who need it.
9. Children
The site and our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We will post changes here with a new date. Material changes to how we use business contact data will be communicated in the next email we send you.
