One platform. Fifty-plus fitness brands.

Plankk wanted to give every fitness trainer their own branded app — without rebuilding the backend fifty times. We built a true multi-tenant platform: one admin core, fifty-plus white-label apps, each marketed independently by its trainer.

Since 2017partnership9 years

Wegile built the multi-tenant platform and rolled out 50+ white-label apps on it.

The brief

Plankk's idea was elegant and hard: a single backend where any trainer could configure their entire program library, with a separate, independently branded app on the front for each one.

We built the multi-tenant architecture: one admin console where each trainer logs in and sets up their programs, exercise libraries, and workout plans — and a fleet of white-label apps, one per trainer, that each could market on their own. Users buy a subscription, enroll, and run their workouts; the trainer owns their brand; Plankk owns the platform.

We rolled out 50+ apps for leading trainers across the US and Canada on this single foundation — the efficiency of multi-tenancy with the independence of a standalone brand.

How we worked

Multi-tenancy is the hard, valuable part.

Challenge

Independence at scale

Every trainer needed a brand that felt fully their own — on a backend that didn't multiply with each one.

Approach

One core, many fronts

A shared multi-tenant admin plus white-label apps: configure once per trainer, ship a branded app.

Result

50+ apps, one platform

We rolled out 50+ trainer apps on a single foundation across two countries.

The arc

A platform built to multiply.

Why it matters

Plankk shows we build platforms, not just apps.

Fifty-plus branded apps on one multi-tenant core is an architecture problem most teams get wrong. We got it right in 2017 — and it's still running.

The compounding effect.

Architect a platform well once and it scales by configuration, not rebuilds. Nine years on, the same foundation still carries the brands.

Need one platform, many brands? That's an architecture we know.
